Georgia’s $26.3B building boom reflects record facility expansions and new sites

Georgia is experiencing a construction upswing, with 423 facility expansions and new locations in the year ending July 1 totaling more than $26.3 billion in investment, a state record. Salesforce said it will spend $15 million to expand in Fulton County and add more than 250 jobs by 2028. In Columbus, BioTouch will invest $12.5 million to expand two logistics facilities, creating 480 jobs. Socomec is preparing a $10 million Suwanee site and about 300 jobs, while Grupo Vialume will invest $4.4 million in Colquitt-Miller County for visibility products and a recycling hub with upgrades expected to finish in 2026.
