Advantech has unveiled a new set of edge AI compute products built on Qualcomm’s Dragonwing IQ-X platform. The lineup includes the AOM-6731 module, AIMB-293 motherboard, and SOM-6820 system-on-module aimed at industrial deployments. Advantech said the designs use 12-core and 10-core CPU configurations with peak clocks up to 3.4 GHz, and integrate on-device AI acceleration rated up to 45 TOPS, plus Wi-Fi 7 and 5G. The company said the platform is designed to run demanding edge workloads locally, reducing dependence on cloud connectivity.
